Creative Director, June 1998 - March 2006
Overall creative development and brand management for all House of Blues venues to include Sunday Gospel Brunch, Foundation Room, Company Store, HOBtv and more. Includes all national print collateral, tour packages, special events, retail package design, apparel, catalogs, direct mailers, point-of-purchase, newspaper and magazine ads. Supervised eight in-house graphic designers, freelance artists and photographers. Designed all branding, environmental graphics and signage for all new venues.

Young women's and junior's clothing line consisting of tops, tees, airline flight attendant shoulder bags and more sold primarily in retail markets throughout the United States and Japan. Designed all garments and body styles that were cut, sewn and manufactured in Los Angeles.  Art directed and designed all designs screen printed and embroidered on garments.  Art directed and designed all related print collateral including 4/c catalogs, stickers, and related advertising.

HOUSE & GARDEN, Conde Nast Publications, New York, NY
Junior Art Director, January 1988 - February 1991
Art directed, designed and color-corrected all six-color covers. Art directed and designed various 4/c FOB/BOB and editorial spreads. Designed special type treatments of all type and headlines of covers and all editorial spreads.  Hired by Anna Wintour (currently editor-in-chief of Vogue) and worked with Alexander Liberman, Conde Nast's legendary Editorial Director.

HFD, Fairchild Publications, New York, NY
Assistant Art Director, February 1987 - December 1988
Fairchild's Home Furnishing Daily is a daily trade publication for the home furnishings and interiors market. Designed all 4/c covers and special sections of HFD from concept to finish.  Oversaw all 4/c and prep house output for printers.  Launched new redesign of entire HFD where I developed new cover treatment and reworked all FOB/BOB and editorial well sections.

The nation's first and largest alternative newsweekly with no-holds-barred reporting and columns on fashion, music, film and the arts.  Responsible for all fashion sections and various arts columns.  Supervised freelance artists and photographers.

A monthly large-format alternative publication with features and columns on fashion, music, film and art. Art directed and designed all covers, FOB/BOB and all fashion and editorial features. Responsible for NY Talk's redesign. Supervised production staff, freelance artists and photographers.

MEN'S APPAREL NEWS, California Fashion Publications, New York, NY
Art Director, June 1985 - March 1986
A monthly 4/c trade publication for men's fashion industry.  Art directed, designed and produced all covers, FOB/BOB and fashion and editorial spreads of Designed in Quark and oversaw all prep house including all 4/c scans and page proofs. Coordinated and art directed all sittings, selected models, stylists and locations. Managed all freelance photographers and artists. Maintained budgets and records.

NEW ORLEANS' LES BEAUX ARTS MAGAZINE, New Orleans, LA
Art Director, November 1983 - April 1985
A monthly large-format 4/c publication featuring interviews of artists, architects, designers, and authors. Initiated and implemented startup. Art directed and designed all front and back of book, and editorial spreads. Managed freelance photographers and artists. Coordinated all photo sessions. Maintained budget and served as liaison with all suppliers. Assisted editor and publisher with editorial ideas.

WAVELENGTH Music Magazine, New Orleans, LA

A New Orleans-based monthly magazine featuring R&B, jazz, rock and popular music. Initiated and implemented startup. Coordinated all phases of art direction, design, photography, illustration and production.
